Project Overview
Orwell is a construction firm that positions itself around quality, precision and close founder involvement on a limited number of projects at a time. The website introduces the company, walks through how they build, and showcases their project portfolio across multiple sectors so developers and commercial clients can judge their work quickly. The client came to us with a completed Figma design. My work was the build side - converting that design into a functioning Framer website, not creating the original visual language.
My Role & Contributions
Converted the client's existing Figma design into a live Framer website
Built the full page set: home, how we build, projects, expertise, about and contact
Created reusable Framer components for repeated blocks, including project cards, stat rows, testimonial and contact sections
Implemented responsive behaviour across desktop, tablet and mobile
Added interactions and scroll/hover animations where the design called for them
Matched typography, spacing and layout to the Figma source as closely as Framer allows
Handed over a production-ready website the client can update themselves
Design Highlights
Component-driven build so project cards and section blocks stay consistent sitewide
Careful breakpoint work to keep the minimal, restrained layout intact on small screens
A project portfolio structure that lets visitors scan sectors first, then go deeper
Restrained motion - subtle reveals and hover states that support the premium tone instead of competing with it
Clear contact and "view all projects" paths kept visible through the scroll
Tools Used
Framer, Figma (as the design source)
Challenges & Solutions
The main challenge was visual accuracy - a construction brand this minimal has nowhere to hide, so small spacing and type differences show immediately. I worked section by section against the Figma file, rebuilt shared elements as components rather than one-off layouts, and checked each breakpoint before moving on.
Outcome
Delivered a live, responsive Framer website that reflects the approved Figma design and is ready for the client to maintain and publish from.
